Courtney Love sued for Twitter defamation

Courtney Love has been sued by a California law firm over comments she made about the company via her Twitter page. 
According to The Hollywood Reporter, San Diego-based firm Gordon & Holmes filed the suit in Los Angeles Superior Court on Thursday accusing the Hole frontwoman of making libellous comments about the company and its employees via the social networking site. 
The documents reveal that Gordon & Holmes, who represented Love from December 2008 to May 2009, was fired by the star when partner Rhonda Holmes requested that Love "refrain from 'any and all substance abuse' during the attorney-client relationship". 
The suit goes on to claim that after the firm refused Love's request to reinstate their services, she became angry and accused the company of accepting bribes, citing a Twitter post from Love stating: "I was f**king devastated (sic) when Rhonda J Holmes Esq of San Diego was bought off."
Gordon & Homes has accused Love of "libel, false light invasion of privacy and intentional interference with a prospective economic advantage" and is seeking unspecified damages. 
Love recently paid over $430,000 as part of a settlement with a designer over comments she made on Twitter. Her account was suspended earlier in the year in advance of the trial.
