Maria Shriver to divorce Arnold Schwarzenegger

Maria Shriver is set to divorce Arnold Schwarzenegger.

The 55-year-old writer who split from her husband of 25 years after he confessed he had fathered a 14-year-old son with their former housekeeper Mildred ‘Patty’ Baena has reportedly told friends she will file papers to legally end their union after deciding she cannot forgive him.

“Maria absolutely will be filing for divorce,” a source said.

“It’s not a matter of if Maria will file for divorce, but when.”

Although she had hired celebrity divorce lawyer Laura Wasser to represent her in her split from the Terminator actor, friends were unsure if she would go ahead with it plans because of strong Catholic beliefs.

However, it has since emerged Maria who has four children Katherine, 21, Christina, 19, Patrick, 17, and 13-year-old Christopher, with the former Governor of California suspected Arnold of having affairs with numerous members of their household staff.

Although she “didn’t suspect for one second” that the 63-year-old star had fathered a child with Patty, she reportedly had her suspicions about other workers.

“Maria didn’t suspect for one second that Patty was messing about with her husband. But there were others who she wasn’t quite so sure about,” a source said.

“It’s perhaps little surprise that after suspicions were aroused, they subsequently didn’t last long in employment.”
